Classical:
Classical education can be distinguished from modern education, in that it does not neglect the important first step of giving students the classical tools for both intellectual development and for understanding their classical Christian heritage. We utilize the Memoria Press classical core curriculum to open the minds of our students and families to the beauty of the education our founding fathers and generations before them received. The curriculum that teaches virtue, character, & wisdom through reading great literature, studying the Greeks and Romans, and learning Latin.
Christian:
HLS Stillwater meets for instruction at Stillwater Bible Church. Families are not required to attend Stillwater Bible Church. The school is ecumenical and many denominations are represented in the HLS Stillwater community. Our statement of faith the Apostles’ Creed, the most ancient and widely accepted expression of the essential beliefs of the Christian faith. HLS Stillwater, Inc. teaches and upholds traditional Christian morality, and the Holy Scriptures as the divinely inspired word of God.

HLS Stillwater offers one day a week instruction in core subjects using the award-winning Memoria Press curriculum. Instruction is provided on Monday in a traditional teacher lead classroom that is ordered and intentional. All new material is covered in the classroom by our skilled teachers, with parents providing homework help and individual assistance throughout the week. Class size is kept to a minimum to increase participation and ensure a high level of attention is granted to each student. The goal is to enhance the homeschool experience of students by offering a challenging, traditional academic experience that enlivens the mind and refines the soul.
