Elisabeth Cauley

Founder, Head of School
Anderson Campus Director

Elisabeth Cauley serves as the Head of School for the Anderson and Greenville campuses. Alongside her husband Chris, who serves as the school’s Chief Financial Officer, she founded the Highlands Latin Cottage School campus in Anderson, South Carolina, in 2018 in order to give her three children a classical Christian education. As Head of School, she oversees all aspects of the school, from curriculum development and staff management to financial planning and community relations, ensuring the school’s mission and vision is faithfully implemented. She maintains a strong relationship with Memoria Press and the Classical Latin School Association through which Highlands holds its accreditation.

Laura Guthrie

Greenville Campus Director

Laura Guthrie joined Highlands in 2020 and has invested in our Cottage School community as both a parent and a teacher over the last six years. Her strengths in leadership in and out of the classroom give her a unique skill set to serve our Greenville families as Campus Director this year. As Campus Director, she will work closely with the Provost and Head of School to implement all school policies and procedures, establish curricular and classroom standards, and oversee the day to day operations of the Greenville campus. She will be the first point of contact for Greenville faculty and families, ensuring a personalized experience that upholds our HLS standard of excellence.
