We offer a full day Primary School program for Kindergarten through Second Grade with breaks for lunch and recess. Primary School classes are taught by a trained teacher and include instruction of all Monday subjects from the Memoria Press Curriculum Manual and all the week’s Enrichment lessons and activities. Primary classes complete the Enrichment lessons and activities together to foster a sense of community and use the same Enrichment level regardless of grade. For the 2026-2027 school year, First Grade Enrichment will be used. To optimize student focus, core subjects are taught in the morning. Enrichment lessons and activities are taught in the afternoon.
Teachers provide expert instruction one day per week, while parents serve as the primary educators for the remainder of the week. For Math, Phonics, and Literature, instruction is shared: teachers introduce concepts in class, while parents provide supplementary teaching and oversee assignments at home. For Latin, Grammar, Spelling, and Penmanship, students receive full instruction in class and parents oversee assignments at home. Christian Studies and Enrichment are taught entirely in class.
To ensure a seamless experience, all lessons and assignments for each subject are clearly scheduled for the entire school year in the Memoria Press Curriculum Manual. Guidance from classroom teachers is available to families as needed.
