After-School Electives

We are pleased to introduce an after-school electives program for the 2018-19 school year. No
additional fees are currently required for these elective opportunities.

Lower School Choir (Grades 1-4)

Lower School Choir is open to all students in grades 1-4.

Lower School Ballet (Grades K-4)

An introduction to Ballet for students of all abilities in grades K through 4.

Senior Choir (Grades 5-12)

Senior School Choir is by audition only. Auditions will be held at the beginning of the school
year. Date TBD.

Upper School Orchestra

Orchestra is by audition only. Orchestra is geared toward students with musical acumen and
experience.

Shakespeare Drama Club

Shakespeare Drama Club is by audition only. Students will rehearse and perform a full-length
Shakespeare play over the course of the year.


Summer Reading Requirements

All current and incoming students are required to complete the summer reading for their appropriate grade level and/or course enrollment as listed below. At Highlands Latin Pasadena, we have a strong value on family reading time as part of the daily routine. Please choose two of the books from the following list to include in your family reading time each day over the course of the summer. Books will be discussed during lunch period book circles over the first several weeks of school.
