About

Nicholas Maes (Dutch, 1634 – 1693), Adoration of the Shepherds, c. 1660.

Welcome! Highlands Latin Cottage School of Lancaster is a support program serving the families of Central Massachusetts. We offer instruction in core subjects two days a week and electives on a third day. Dedicated to the inculcation of wisdom and virtue in our students, we aim to enhance the homeschool experience with a challenging and traditional academic program. HLS Lancaster seeks to form students through a thoughtful and thorough treatment of the great works of classical literature as well as an exploration of the classical civilizations, their art, and their languages.

Mission Statement

In partnership with parents, and guided by the Gospel, we strive to educate students to the highest standards of the classical tradition, so that they may grow in knowledge, wisdom, and the love of Our Lord, and more ably use their gifts in the service of others, and for the glory of Christ and His Church.
