By whatever route you’ve come, we are so glad you made it here. Highlands Latin North Baltimore is one of now over eighteen Highlands Latin Cottage Schools scattered throughout the country. We exist to supplement the tremendous work of homeschooling parents and enhance the educational experience of homeschooling students by bringing the distinctive culture and academic curricula of Highlands Latin School to the North Baltimore community.
The HLS distinctives are best encapsulated in three words—classical, Christian, and traditional. Our approach to education centers on the learning of classical languages and texts, anchors itself to the essentials of the Christian faith, and maintains the still unsurpassed learning environment that is the teacher-guided classroom.
At HLS North Baltimore, we proudly utilize the award-winning curricula developed by Memoria Press. Stamped on all of their books is the motto “Docere, Delectare, Movere”—in English, “to teach, to delight, to move.” It is their ambition as well as ours to make education not only the provision of instruction, but also a delight and a mobilizing force to those instructed. With the wonderful tools provided by Memoria Press in hand, HLS North Baltimore aims to provide inspired instruction and so to engender a love for the good, the true, and the beautiful in each and every student.
Currently, we are assessing interest in the program. If you are interested in knowing more about the school please use the interest form to let us know. Thank you!
